The Orthodox Christian Community of St Aethelheard  forms part of the Antiochian Orthodox Deanery of the United Kingdom and Ireland under the Patriarchate of Antioch. "And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch".
(Acts 11:26).

Our services are in English and the music draws on Russian and Byzantine traditions. Orthodox Christians from other countries join British converts to make up this community and together we welcome Orthodox and non-Orthodox of all ages, including families with children.

The community is dedicated to St. Aethelheard, Abbot of Louth and Archbishop of Canterbury in the 8th century. Find out more at St. Aethelheard

Philip found Nathanael and said to him, "We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote--Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."

And Nathanael said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?"

Philip said to him
"Come and see."

(John 1: 45-46)
